Inter are looking at Atalanta’s Berat Djimsiti and young Empoli defender Mattia Viti among their possible targets to replace Andrea Ranocchia this summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Nerazzurri’s priority as far as a defensive signing is to sign a low-cost option who can take the place of the 34-year-old.

Now that Bremer is off to Juventus, the Nerazzurri have no plans of selling Milan Skriniar to Paris Saint-Germain, so they are not seeking a defender to become part of the first-choice back three.

However, Ranocchia’s departure for Monza on a free transfer at the beginning of the summer transfer window means that they still must find a player who can add depth to their backline for next season.

Viti is one player being considered, whilst Djimsiti is also on their radar, and the Albanian could be the subject of a swap deal involving wingback Valentino Lazaro.
