The recovery of Inter defender Milan Skriniar from a muscle injury suffered while on international duty is going well and he could be called up for the Nerazzurri’s friendly against Lyon at the end of the month.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 27-year-old’s rehabilitation is on track and that he is aiming to be available for the clash with Lyon on Saturday, June 30.

Skriniar picked up a muscle injury while playing with Slovakia in the Nations League in June, having to come off the pitch during their match against Kazakhstan.

There has been no real rush for the defender to get back to fitness given that it is preseason, but he has been working his way back to fitness during his time off and working separately on his return to training.

The 27-year-old is getting closer and closer to being fully fit at which point he can return to full training, and while he will still be out of action for this Saturday’s friendly against Lens, he could be targeting a return against Lyon.
