Inter are not intending to spend more than double digits on a new defender if Milan Skriniar stays at the club, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the Nerazzurri are not keen on splashing out on a defender that could only prove to be a depth option rather than a starting centre-back.

Many of their targets would cost more than €10 million this summer such as Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic and Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji.

They both have just one year left on their contracts and would represent the sort of player that Inter want, but the Nerazzurri don’t want to part with the money if they are not receiving €70 million for Milan Skriniar.

If PSG did raise their offer and the Slovakian left the club, then Inter would need to start paying higher fees to replace him with an equivalent player.
