Lautaro Martinez scored twice as Inter beat Novara 8-1 in a behind-closed-doors training friendly on Thursday evening, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by FCInternews, the Nerazzurri took on the Serie C side at Appiano Gentile as part of a joint training session.
It was a very successful evening for Inter as they put eight past their opponent. They were 3-0 up when the halftime whistle went.
The goals for Simone Inzaghi’s side came from Lautaro Martinez who scored twice and then Nicolo Barella, Raoul Bellanova, Edin Dzeko, Romelu Lukaku, Mattia Zanotti and then an own goal from Ciancio.
The goal for Novara came from the penalty spot and it was dispatched by Bortolussi.
It was reported earlier on Thursday that Simone Inzaghi would be focusing on the players who took part in international games before pre-season began and needed an extended rest break to recover.
