Inter youngster Lorenzo Pirola has said that his aim is to return to Inter after his spell at Salernitana having just signed a new Nerazzurri contract, according to a report in the Italian media.
Speaking to FCInternews outside of the Inter headquarters at Viale della Liberazione, Lorenzo Pirola discussed the contract that he just signed with Inter that keeps him at the club until 2027.
He started by confirming that the deal had taken place without any issues, saying: “Yes, we signed. Everything is in place.”
He was then asked about what he is expecting to find from his year down at Salernitana who are likely to be in a relegation battle again like last season.
“‘I have very positive feelings, both from my teammates and the staff. We want to have a great championship: the goal is survival and we hope to achieve it.”
He was then asked if his overall aim is to return to Inter and he made no bones about that being what he wants for his career.
“Definitely, I did the whole youth sector and I’m an Inter fan. That’s the goal.”
Until this move to Salernitana was confirmed, Lorenzo Pirola has been training with the first team at Appiano Gentile and he said that he enjoyed the atmosphere there.
“Excellent, I’ve only done a few training sessions but the atmosphere is serene, of people who always want to work to bring home the Scudetto. And I wish them that.”
