Milan Skriniar has fully recovered from the muscle problem that he picked up while on international duty in June, and will be available for next Saturday’s friendly against Lyon.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who also report that the likes of Roberto Gagliardini and Robin Gosens should also be available soon.

Skriniar has been busy completing his recovery from a thigh problem which he picked up during a Nations League clash with Kazakhstan whilst playing for the Slovakian national team, and there has been no rush for him to get back to full fitness.

The 27-year-old had been considered for inclusion in the squad for yesterday’s friendly against Lens, but it was decided that it would not be worth the risk.

However, the defender is now fully fit and will be ready to be called up to face Lyon next weekend, and should have sufficient time to get match-fit for the start of the season.

Meanwhile, Gagliardini was left out of the Lens clash due to a minor foot injury, whilst the issue for Gosens was nothing more than some minor muscular fatigue due to overwork.
