Inter President Steven Zhang has reiterated to everyone within the club that he has no intention of selling the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the President has responded to rumours of a sale on the horizon by making clear that his and Suning’s commitment to the club is as strong as ever.

Rumours of a sale being close have been something of a feature of the last couple years of Suning’s ownership of the Nerazzurri, and the latest round of rumours have emerged, that Zhang is in talks to try and sell the club.

This summer has presented yet another major test of Suning’s ownership of Inter, as the Chinese company’s financial dictates have led to a transfer window that could best be described as up-and-down.

This is likely to continue to be the case until the €275 million loan from US-based fund Oaktree Capital is repaid at least, but as far as the President is concerned, things can hold out until this point.

Zhang believes that the trophies won over the past two seasons have been evidence of the strength of the project despite financial restrictions, and will see how things play out on the pitch in the upcoming season.

The President has made perfectly clear to those within the club that right now a sale is not something he is seriously considering.
