Inter are holding firm on their asking price of €70 million for defender Milan Skriniar as Chelsea consider making an offer for him.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, who report that the Nerazzurri won’t budge on their valuation of the Slovakian whilst interest in him from the Premier League is picking up, particularly from Chelsea.

Inter are not keen to lose Skriniar this summer after failing to sign Bremer from Torino, but this doesn’t mean that the interest in him has gone away.

While Paris Saint-Germain’s pursuit of the 27-year-old is currently at a standstill, teams in the Premier League could decide to make a move, with the Blues particularly keen as they look to add one more top-class defensive addition before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea have had their most recent attempt to sign Leicester City defender Wesley Fofan rebuffed, and so they could decide to push for Skriniar, albeit they will have to face the Nerazzurri’s resolve on the price tag.
