Inter have raised the asking price to €50 million for wingback Denzel Dumfries, and if they are to end up selling him they will move for Udinese’s Destiny Udogie.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri would now be very reluctant to part with the Dutchman unless a very sizable offer comes along.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi sees Dumfries as an important player from last season who can continue to grow into his role on the right flank and would be very unhappy to be deprived of the 26-year-old in his second season in charge.

Accordingly, even though Inter have not taken Dumfries off of the market for any price, the asking price has now gone up to €50 million if any clubs around Europe want to test their resolve.

Should this happen, Udinese’s Udogie is the player who Inter will move for, with the thinking being that the 19-year-old can compete with Robin Gosens for the spot on the left whilst Matteo Darmian would be made a permanent right-sided option on the right alongside new boy Raoul Bellanova.
