Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has been very clear to the club that he does not want to see either of Milan Skriniar or Denzel Dumfries sold this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the coach has told the club to take the duo off of the market, whilst the asking price for both has now risen.

Inzaghi was on board with the plan to sign Bremer from Torino as a replacement for Skriniar, but now that the Brazilian has gone to Juventus instead, he feels that there is no adequate substitute for the Slovakian.

The coach sees Skriniar as incredibly valuable in terms of both his technical profile as well as his attitude and workrate, and has no intention of being deprived of a player who has become vital to his backline.

Meanwhile, with the club already having to make the adjustment to life without Ivan Perisic on the left, the coach would be highly reluctant to do without Dumfries on the right, so for this reason considers the Dutchman unsellable.

Given the Nerazzurri’s financial needs and objectives they are not likely to take either Skriniar of Dumfries off the market completely, but the price tag for the former is €70 million, and for the latter €50 million.

In the coach’s mind, however, seeing either go for any price would be unacceptable, and so the club are now focusing on the Plan B of not making a major sale this summer and postponing the necessary sacrificed until January or the beginning of next summer.
