Marseille president Pablo Longoria is waiting for Inter and Alexis Sanchez to come to an agreement on severance pay before he offers a contract to the Chilean, according to a report in the French media today.

As has been reported by L’Equipe in France, the Ligue 1 side have been having a lot of conversations about the Chilean forward over the past few days and now they are ready to make their move.

All that is missing is for Inter and Alexis Sanchez to finalise the details of how they will terminate the contract that has one year remaining. It is likely that the fee will be €5 million to make that happen.

After that, Pablo Longoria will finalise the offer for Alexis Sanchez who currently earns €7 million per year.

There were suggestions in other reports yesterday that Inter could need to pay nearer €7 million due to postponed wages during the pandemic.
