Inter could offer defender Stefan de Vrij a new deal, and the 30-year-old would consider it although he is also interested in a possible move to the Premier League.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Dutchman’s future at Inter is presently in the balance, but that the club’s intention would be to extend his contract unless the right offer comes along.

De Vrij’s contract runs out at the end of June 2023 as things stand, and he had been expected to be sold this summer if the right offers came in.

There is some interest in the 30-year-old, but in the end no serious bids arrived so it looks very likely that he will remain at Inter for at least one more season.

Given this, it is the Nerazzurri’s intention to extend de Vrij’s contract rather than let him leave at the end of his deal, and the defender is receptive although he is also intrigued by the idea of a move to the Premier League.
