Milan prosecutors have asked for the investigation into Inter regarding possible capital gains fraud to be closed on the basis that there is not any evidence of wrongdoing.
This according to the Milan edition of Italian news outlet Repubblica.it, who report that the prosecutors have concluded after looking at the financial records related to player transfers between the 2017-18 and 2018-19 there is no evidence of financial irregularities.
Towards the end of last season, an investigation was opened up into the possibility that Inter had misreported financial information related to the transfers of young players including Andrei Radu, Davide Bettella, Federico Valietti, and Marco Carraro, as well as Andrea Pinamonti and Zinho Vanheuden.
The purpose of the investigation was to determine whether or not the Nerazzurri had knowingly misreported the value of players in order to falsely inflate the size of the capital gains on the sales when reporting them in their budgets.
After reviewing the evidence from financial documents collected related to the transfers, prosecutors Giovanna Cavalleri and Giovanni Polizzi, coordinated by adjunct Maurizio Romanelli, decided to close the investigation without any charges.
