Inter are planning to play their final training match of the preseason preparations against their Primavera team on Wednesday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have scheduled one more training friendly in order to get their match-fitness to where it needs to be for the start of the season and that it will be against players from their youth sector.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has insisted on holding training matches in addition to the official friendlies, as he has felt that the five friendlies scheduled are not enough to get the necessary amount of minutes into the legs of the whole squad in view of the start of the season.

With the Nerazzurri’s Serie A opener against Lecce now just on the horizon, they will play one final training match, with the Gazzetta reporting that it will be against Christian Chivu’s Primavera team, whilst the Corriere dello Sport predicts that the opponent will be Serie D side Sant’Angelo.
