Inter’s final training match of their preseason preparations will be held against Serie D side Sant’Angelo this week.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri will face the lower division side in training to get one final chance to increase the match-fitness of the squad with only a few days remaining before their Serie A season begins.
Inter had a total of five official friendly matches during preseason, kicking off with their traditional encounter with Swiss side Lugano before facing the likes of Monaco, Lens, Lyon, and Villarreal.
This was not deemed to be enough by coach Simone Inzaghi, however, given the hurried nature of the preparations with many late returnees to training, and the coach has wanted more match-time for his entire squad and for more chances to evaluate his players.
Accordingly, the coach has scheduled several further friendly matches in training, and the last one will be against Sant’Angelo.
