Albania coach Edy Reja has said that Kristjan Asllani has already shown his quality and he expects to see more from Inter this season compared to pre-season, according to a report in the Italian media.
Speaking during an interview with TMW, Edy Reja focused on Inter’s new Albanian midfielder who he is clearly a big fan of.
He explained that Kristjan Asllani was given his Albania debut in the latest friendly matches and he showed how much personality he has got.
“Asllani when he has played has shown his quality, I made him debut in the last friendlies and he showed great personality. He needs experience to become an important player but he has already shown good things.”
Kristjan Asllani was signed by Inter to be a backup for Marcelo Brozovic and he could eventually be the long-term replacement for the Croatian midfielder.
He has shown a lot of promise in pre-season and he could be used more this season by Simone Inzaghi than many expected.
Edy Reja has not been so impressed by Inter’s pre-season performances as a team though, saying he expects more in the season.
“Inter put in some decent performances in pre-season but they still haven’t shown what I expected.”
