Italian journalist Giovanni Capuano has said that Andrea Pinamonti is an excellent choice for Sassuolo having just completed his move from Inter, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking whilst on Sportitalia, via FCInter1908, the journalist explained that he thinks the Neroverdi have made the right call by singing the former Inter man to replace Gianluca Scamacca who was sold to Premier League side West Ham United.
“Scamacca has done very well, Pinamonti is an excellent choice for Sassuolo.”
He also feels that the €20 million transfer fee that Sassuolo will eventually pay for the Italian is a fair price after the goals he scored last season for Empoli and the fact that he is only 23 years old.
“I find the price adequate, Pinamonti has his own path already in Serie A and is trying to make the first of the two leaps that are needed to establish himself definitively. He will be followed with great interest.”
Inter are very happy to have offloaded the player given he is an academy graduate and he does not have a role in the first team. That means that he does not need to be replaced with a player that will cost money.
