OGC Nice have been unable to convince Inter midfielder Cesare Casadei to pursue a move with them rather than Chelsea, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the French side presumably thought that their ability to give the Italian much more frequent time in the first team than Chelsea can would be enough to persuade him.
That has not been the case and he is now effectively waiting for Inter and Chelsea to come to an economic agreement. Inter want the Premier League side to raise their bid to €15 million which would represent a big capital gain for Inter as he is an academy graduate.
Inter do not necessarily want to lose Cesare Casadei but they see him as a necessary sacrifice to raise money without losing a player who has a key role in the current first team.
