The agent of Inter-owned goalkeeper Andrei Radu has said he is worthy of playing in Serie A even despite his latest error, according to a report in the Italian media.
Speaking during an interview with TMW, Oscar Damiani was very quick to defend his client who has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism in recent weeks and months.
Andrei Radu made a high-profile error in his only Serie A appearance of the season against Bologna. It led to a defeat which was a big part of why Inter did not win the title.
He has since moved on loan to newly-promoted Cremonese and he made his debut for the club in their first game of the season which was against Fiorentina.
Unfortunately for him, he made another error where a deep cross dropped in behind him rather than being caught or batted over the bar.
Oscar Damiani insists that he is up to standard: “It was a mistake. But he is very strong and he has shown it: he is worthy of Serie A.
“He has to react and prove it on the field. He wasn’t lucky, but he remains a strong goalkeeper. And Cremonese’s message is a very positive one, educational, of how a club should be run.”
