Francesco Acerbi Could Join Inter In Time To Face Lazio On Friday As Claudio Lotito Opens To Loan Without Purchase Obligation, Italian Media Report

Defender Francesco Acerbi could already be an Inter player in time to face Lazio in the Serie A clash between the two sides on Friday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 34-year-old could make the switch in time for Friday’s match as Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito is now open to a loan deal without a purchase obligation.

Lotito wants to get Acerbi’s €2.5 million net wages for the season off of Lazio’s books before the end of the transfer window, and so he would not stand in the way of a deal to send him to Inter, even if the terms of a loan move do not include an obligation to buy the defender permanently as he had hoped.

The talks have been progressing quickly, and with the Lazio President ready to accept an offer of a loan deal, there could even be nothing standing in the way of Acerbi switching sides before the next round of fixtures when the Nerazzurri and the Biancocelesti face off on the pitch.
