Inter have made no secret that they are targeting a tally of a hundred goals in Serie A this season, although this does not mean that they will win the Serie A title if they reach this height.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri feel that with Romelu Lukaku back in the team they could be capable of surpassing last season’s goal tally and getting into the triple digits.

Inter had Serie A’s best attack last season despite not winning the title, which is in fact now an uncommon state of affairs at all, with all of Atalanta, Roma, and Napoli having scored the most goals in the Italian top flight without getting their hands on the Scudetto.

A balance between attack and defense is necessary to win the Serie A title, which has in fact been won by a team who have not had the strongest attack in the league more often than not over the past few seasons.

However, if Inter can manage to reach a hundred goals between the goals from Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez as well as backup forwards Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa, and midfielders, wingbacks, and defenders chipping it, it could put them over the edge.
