Italian journalist Fabio Ravezzani believes that Inter are losing some of their stylistic identity and the mental strength to play at their best.

Speakin on his YouTube channel, as reported by FCInter1908, Ravezzani gave his thoughts on some of the Nerazzurri’s early struggles based on their first three matches in Serie A this season.

In terms of the quality of the players in their squad, there is very little question that Inter have a high-level team, and if they are able to get the best out of the players that they have at their disposal they are certainly among the strongest teams in Serie A and capable of fighting for the title.

However, early indications have been far from positive, with Friday’s 3-1 loss away to Lazio particularly seeing them look like a team who cannot impose themselves on matches.

Ravezzani gave his analysis of the Nerazzurri’s early struggles, stating that “Inter should have maturity, because they’ve achieved great results over the past three seasons. They have winning mentality among their ranks.”

“But the real question today is, what is Inter’s identity right now?” he posited. “Based on their start to the season they look to be disoriented. They won in the final second in Lecce, against an infinitely weaker team, played a good match against Spezia, and then travelled to face Lazio.”

“There, they played well for the first half-hour, but then they seemed to completely lose their mentality,” he suggested.
