Official – Romelu Lukaku Has Suffered Tear To Muscles In Left Thigh

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has suffered a tear to the muscles in his left thigh during training yesterday.

This is confirmed by the Nerazzurri on their official site, where they state that the medical tests underwent by the 29-year-old have revealed that the strain to his thigh that he felt in training yesterday morning was caused by a muscle tear.

Yesterday it was reported that Lukaku had suffered an injury to his left thigh in training which would cause the Belgian striker to miss tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Cremonese and potentially more matches with fixtures against AC Milan, Bayern Munich, and Torino on the horizon.

Now, the nature of the injury suffered by the striker has been revealed, with the medical tests revealing that it is a muscle tear to the thigh flexor muscles in his left leg.

According to the official announcement about Lukaku’s condition by the site, further tests will be performed next week which should shed more light on his condition and recovery process.
