Inter striker Romelu Lukaku will have to wait a bit to leave his mark and prove himself again in his second stint at the Nerazzurri due to an injury layoff early in his first season back at the club.

This is noted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who suggest that everything will have to be pushed back as far as the Belgian being put to the test after his difficult season at Chelsea.

Lukaku pushed to return to Inter long before the summer transfer window began, and the 29-year-old is back where he wants to rebuild his reputation after his struggles in the Premier League and also win back the Nerazzurri supporters.

The Belgian got off to a mixed start in his first three matches back, scoring and assisting one goal each but not yet hitting the heights of his first spell in an Inter shirt.

Now, Lukaku looks set to miss out on the next month or so with injury, and so everything will be delayed as far as whether he can make his mark, and the jury will remain out.
