Paris Saint-Germain are still trying to sign Inter defender Milan Skriniar before the transfer window closes, although the likelihood of an offer being accepted this late in the window is not great.

This according to today’s print edition of French newspaper L’Equipe, who report that the 27-year-old remains the Parisians’ top target for a defensive signing before the summer transfer window slams shut.

PSG’s interest in signing Skriniar had seemingly slowed down some time ago, as it became clear that they were very reluctant to meet Inter’s valuation for the Slovakian whilst the Nerazzurri became reluctant to sell him due to other circumstances, namely the failure to land Torino defender Bremer.

However, the Parisians still want to make one more singing to reinforce their backline before the end of the window, and whilst Monaco’s Axel Disasi has been rumoured to be on their radar, Skriniar is still the top target.

The French champions could make one final push to sign the Slovakian in the next couple days before the transfer deadline, although given Inter’s firm stance against selling him it is very probable that any attempt on their part to sign him would fail.
