Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that Inter would be open to letting wingback Robin Gosens join Bayer Leverkusen if the Germans offer a loan deal that includes a purchase obligation, but not a non-mandatory obligation.

Reporting in a tweet, Biasin related the Nerazzurri’s stance on the 28-year-old who has been linked with Leverkusen after reports of talks yesterday, with the question of whether the Bundesliga side agree to an obligation to sign him permanently next summer key.

Inter could be ready to cash in on Gosens already even though he was only signed in January, with the German not yet having found his best form in a Nerazzurri shirt.

A significant transfer fee for a player who is not yet a key part of the plans could represent an important piece of business as it would bring in cash towards the goal of a net profit during the summer transfer window without weakening the team in the short term.

However, if Gosens were to only go out on loan without a purchase obligation, the possibility that he could be back next summer without a fee arriving would pose a problem.

Biasin reported, “Inter will only let Robin Gosens leave if Bayer Leverkusen change the structure of the deal they’re offering (in other words, include a purchase obligation and not just an option.)”
