Inter have completed the signing of Italian defender Francesco Acerbi on a season long loan from Serie A rivals Lazio.
The Nerazzurri released a statement on their homepage confirming that the 34 year old Italian central defender has joined the club.
Francesco Acerbi will wear the number 15 shirt the report continues, without mentioning the duration of the contract or any other details pertaining to the deal.
His wages have also not been officially announced by the club, however, it has been widely reported in Italy that Acerbi will be earning €1.5 million net per season, and that Inter wont pay a loan fee either.
The former AC Milan defender will be reunited with Simone Inzaghi whom he worked under at Lazio from the summer of 2018 until the end of the 2020/2021 season.
This was arguably the most successful period of Acerbi’s career as he helped the Biancocelesti win the Coppa Italia in 2018/2019 season as well as the Supercoppa Italiana in 2019.
His performances earned him a call up to the Italian national team squad which won the European Championships in 2021.
