Inter’s wage bill has gone down 7% in cost this season compared to that of the 2021-22 season.

This is highlighted by Italian football finance news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who note that the Nerazzurri’s total gross wage bill of €211 million is a reduction compared to the €227.8 million gross which the Nerazzurri paid out last season.

Inter’s highest earner is Romelu Lukaku, who earns €8.5 million net per season, a significant reduction from what he earned at his parent club Chelsea but still higher than the Nerazzurri’s second highest earner, Marcelo Brozovic, who earns €6.5 million net per season.

Despite the fact that Inter brought in a new highest earner in the summer, the departure of players like Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, Matias Vecinom, and Aleksandr Kolarov to be replaced by players on lower wages has enabled the Nerazzurri to reduce their spending.

Calcio e Finanza also note that the figures are only preliminary, as Inter could add or remove amounts from their total wage bill depending on what they do in the January transfer window.
