Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that there would be no sense in sacking Inter coach Simone Inzaghi so soon after handing him a contract extension in the summer as a show of faith in him to lead the team.

Giving his view in a tweet, Biasin suggested that even though there is no denying that the current Inter boss is facing some big problems at the start of the season, the club should continue to put their trust in him as they always have so far.

Inzaghi has seen his team lose three out of their six opening matches this season, to Lazio and AC Milan in the league and then Bayern Munich in the Champions League, whilst there are also suggestions of problems behind the scenes.

However, the 46-year-old is someone who the club always backed last season as he put his stamp on the team following the departure of Antonio Conte, and this was followed up with a contract extension in the summer as the Nerazzurri look fully prepared to let him continue to build the team even through adversity.

Biasin tweeted, “Talking about sacking a coach who’s just extended his contract makes no sense. Inzaghi and Inter are clearly struggling, but we can’t be calling for someone’s head as a ‘reaction’ when it’s just September!”

“There is much more worth to him and to this group than this moment of crisis,” he added.
