Inter striker Edin Dzeko is looking to find his one hundredth goal in Serie A over the coming matches to try and push the team on into an upturn in form in attack.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who suggest that the Bosnian’s search for this attacking milestone between his time at Roma and Inter could be integral to the Nerazzurri’s attempts to kickstart their form.

Dzeko has been a broadly reliable source of goals for much of his time in Italy’s top flight when he joined Roma in the summer of 2015, including finishing as Capocannoniere in his second season for the Giallorossi.

The Bosnian also finished behind only Lautaro Martinez in Inter’s scoring charts last season, scoring some important goals along the way, and he also scored from off the bench against AC Milan last weekend.

That strike on target against the Rossoneri was Dzeko’s 99th in Serie A in total, and he will be more motivated than ever to find the back of the net, perhaps just the impetus the team need in attack with Romelu Lukaku still missing through injury.
