Inter were not able to take anything from their Champions League group stage opener against Bayern Munich, falling to a 2-0 defeat against a surging Bayern performance.

There were positive moments in the match but they were outweighed by the fact that the team was outclassed on the whole, and so the only thing that will be left to do is for the players to pick themselves up and get back to work.

Goalkeeper Andre Onana made his debut in the match, and gave his thoughts afterwards in a post on his Twitter account.

He wrote, “You’re allowed to fall, but then you must get up. We’ll get back up, staying united and giving our all on the pitch. Thank you Nerazzurri fans for your support in my first match at San Siro, a dream that came true.”
