Inter managed to eventually break through to find a winner in their 1-0 Serie A victory over Torino yesterday, but they didn’t get going right away in an attacking sense.
The Granata suffocated the Nerazzurri from creating a great deal in attack, and in the first half they were unable to register even a single shot on target as they couldn’t find fluency in the final third.
As football statistics account Opta pointed out in a tweet, this is the first time that that has been the case for the Nerazzurri in a Serie A match in over a year.
They tweeted, “0 – Inter have failed to fire a single shot on target in Serie A first half for the first time since April 18, 2021, against Napoli. Blocked.”
