Inter’s directors are hoping that Saturday’s hard-fought late win against Torino has already seen the team start to move towards a real recovery from their difficult early form this season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who feel that that the match can see the team turn their fortunes around like they did in the 2020-21 season by beating the Granata.

Inter are on twelve points after six matches, and had been on the same total after seven matches after enduring a difficult start to the Scudetto-winning 2020-21 campaign.

In that season, the Nerazzurri really started to bounce back with a roaring 4-2 campaign over Torino, going on to be the form team in Serie A for the rest of the campaign and cruising to the title.

Now, the directors are hoping that another win over the Granata, this time a scrappy, physical win achieved by a narrow margin in the final minutes, can be the moment that spurs the team on along a turning point to putting a rough start behind them and finding their best form.
