Inter are ready to offer defender Milan Skriniar a new deal worth a net of €7 million per season in order to convince him to extend with the club.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Nerazzurri will make the 27-year-old the team’s highest-paid player apart from Romelu Lukaku in order to keep hold of him and renew his contract which currently expires at the end of June 2023.

Skriniar stayed at the club despite strong transfer links to Paris Saint-Germain during the summer, and now extending his contract so that there isn’t a risk of losing the Slovakian on a free transfer next summer is the top priority for the Nerazzurri.

Given that the Parisians were ready to offer the Slovakian a very substantial wage increase in order to convince him to join during the summer window, Inter know that they will have to make him a significant offer, and €7 million net per season looks to be the amount they’ll rise to.
