Inter defender Milan Skriniar felt hurt by the fact that he had been the player who the Nerazzurri appeared willing to sacrifice to meet financial targets during the summer transfer window.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the club’s willingness to listen to offers from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer remains a sore spot for him with contract negotiations set to begin shortly.
Inter did not end up selling Skriniar during the summer, as they were not convinced by any of Paris Saint-Germain’s offers for him and decided to pursue alternate strategies to bring in much-needed cash.
However, the Slovakian was well aware of the fact that a move to PSG could have happened, and would even have been ready to accept it knowing that it came with the club’s blessing as a big sale would have been financially important.
According to Tuttosport, however, the player feels somewhat frustrated with the fact that the club had appeared willing to part ways with him ahead of some other high-value players in the squad.
