Former Udinese, Watford, and Bologna head coach Francesco Guidolin believes that either Inter or Udinese could get a result from Sunday’s Serie A clash which sees the Nerazzurri travel to Friuli.
Speaking to Udine-based newspaper Messagerio Veneto in an interview published in today’s print edition, Guidolin gave his predictions for the last match before the international break, noting that Inter are not yet at their best and so an in-form Bianconeri could well get a result off of them.
On paper, Inter would expect to be able to beat Udinese given the quality in the two teams’ respective squads, but the form table could suggest otherwise considering the Nerazzurri have won two and lost two out of their last matches, whereas the Friulians have won all four.
As such, Inter will not go into it taking anything for granted or expecting a straightforward match, although they will still feel that three points is the only result that they can be satisfied with even if they are not yet at their best at the start of the season.
Guidolin predicted that the match will be “Open to any possible result. Inter are currently a team under construction, but they’re still Inter, while Udinese will be heading into it with confidence.”
