Inter and AC Milan are committed to fully demolishing the San Siro as part of their plans to construct a new stadium within the city of Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the two clubs have absolutely no intention of preserving any of the existing stadium which would make their plans less feasible, and that they still hope to have the new stadium built for the start of the 2027-28 season.

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri have made clear in their most recent updated dossier to the city council of Milan that, after reducing the volumes of concrete to be used for the new stadium, it would not be feasible to keep the existing San Siro standing in any capacity.

Their plan is now to tear down the stadium completely in order to make as much room as possible for the new stadium to be built.
