Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino feels very satisfied with how his team played to produce an impressive 3-1 win over Inter even after having gone behind early on in the match at the Dacia Arena.
Speaking to UdineseTV, Marino gave his reaction to the match, and also praised the quality of Barella’s strike to give his team an early lead before everything went off the rails and the home side snatched all three points.
Inter had cause for optimism within the first five minutes at the Dacia Arena, as Barella stepped up to take an early free kick and showed that he can be lethal from dead balls by placing his effort squarely in the top corner where no keeper could have conceivably reached it in time.
However, any optimism for the Nerazzurri soon evaporated as they squandered their advantage, whereas for the Friulians it was only joy after the initial unexpected jolt of going down very early.
“We didn’t expect to go down so early to such a brilliant free kick, and it was undeserved,” Marino said. “But what a reaction we showed. The team reacted, and not for the first time, showing how much they wanted the three points.”
