Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has admitted a big “mea culpa” for Inter’s rough start to the season, and not tried to pass responsibility for the state of things to anyone other than himself.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that both in his public statements and behind the scenes the coach is ready to accept responsibility for the cracks that have emerged in the start of the Nerazzurri’s season.

The problems at Inter certainly appear to be far deeper than just the coach, with the fitness and mentality of the players just as important as tactics or substitutes, but at the same time these things are also the purview of the coach as well.

Inzaghi was clear after yesterday’s loss to Udinese that he was the “first person responsible” for the way things have started and that, as the man in charge of setting the team up in all of the matches they’ve lost this season, he should be the first person of whom questions are asked.
