Inter’s defense has been a real problem area for the team this season, but things are not all bad as they have remained formidable going in the other direction.

This is noted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who highlight the fact that the Nerazzurri are behind only high-flying Napoli for goals scored in Serie A, and third in terms of ball possession as well as kilometers run during matches.

Inter’s thirteen goals scored so far is certainly a credible haul after seven league outings, with only Napoli’s fifteen outdoing them, whilst their 123 shots taken is behind only the Partenopei’s 135.

The Nerazzurri are level with Roma for shots on target, with 43 apiece, whilst the impression that the team is having a fitness crisis is perhaps belied by the fact that they are in fact third in the league for distance covered in matches, with their 110.1 km per matches behind only Lazio and Spezia.
