Inter had Sunday off from training at Appiano Gentile but Romelu Lukaku and Hakan Calhanoglu were still there to recover from their injuries ahead of the AS Roma clash, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by FCInternews, the injured duo did not take the day off that Simone Inzaghi had allowed the other players in the squad to take as they have rehabilitation programmes that need to be adhered to.
There will be checks done on both players over the next few days to try and get a clearer idea of where they are at physically. Those checks will be crucial when it comes to whether they can start in the match against AS Roma next Saturday or if it will just be the bench for them.
Romelu Lukaku is aiming to be starting the game whereas Hakan Calhanoglumay not be able to manage that.
