A sale of a big name player during the January transfer window would not be out of the question for Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Milan Skriniar in particular is a player whose future is far from secure and who could be on his way out as early as January.

Inter went the summer transfer window without making a big money sale despite the widespread expectation that they would cash in on one of their highest-value players in order to meet ambitious financial targets.

The sense, however, is that this was more of delaying the inevitable rather than actually avoiding a big sale outright.

The Nerazzurri are almost certain to have their hand forced in this respect and a painful departure is expected before the end of the current fiscal year in June of next year, and it cannot be ruled out that this will take place in January.
