Inter wingback Federico Dimarco has been named across Italian media as the Nerazzurri’s best performer in their 2-1 loss to Roma yesterday evening.

The 24-year-old received the highest scores of any Inter player in the player ratings for the match in Italian media, as highlighted by L’Interista.

Dimarco got into the Nerazzurri’s starting eleven for yesterday’s match on the strength of his two excellent displays for the Italian national team over the international break.

The 24-year-old capped off his international break with his first goal for the Azzurri, against Hungary, and he repeated the trick for the Nerazzurri by scoring their opener with a well-taken effort.

The performances and goals for club and country have seen Dimarco going through “moments of magic” in the view of Italian media.

Even though this individual form was not enough to see his team avoid defeat, Dimarco was hardly a player who deserved to be on the losing side on the night.

The Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport, L’Interista, and TuttoMercatoWeb all awarded the 24-year-old a 6.5/10 grade, whilst the Gazzetta dello Sport went all the way to 7/10.
