Inter coach Simone Inzaghi may have more than a few problems that he needs to work out with the team right now, but the defense looks to be foremost among them.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who highlight the fact that the Nerazzurri have now conceded thirteen goals after the two that Roma scored at the San Siro yesterday, and that this means that only Monza and Cremonese have worse defenses in Serie A.

Inter had conceded ten goals in four away games in Serie A going into yesterday’s match, although their positive defensive record at the San Siro had been a rare bright spot on their start to the campaign, with only a late consolation goal from Cremonese’s David Okereke seeing them concede at home.

However, the Giallorossi managed to break through twice, which apart from being enough to secure the three points for the away team, was also enough to mean that Inter are now level with Hellas Verona for goals conceded in the top flight, and only narrowly behind the two worse defenses, Monza and Cremonese, who have conceded 14 each.
