Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa is in Milan, but he is a candidate to join Salernitana or Hellas Verona rather than Inter.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are not particularly interested in appointing the former Fiorentina coach as a replacement for Simone Inzaghi, and that he is closer to other Italian clubs.
Sousa had been reportedly proposed to Inter as a possible replacement for Inzaghi, given that the current coach has not seen the team start in good form this season and could very well be sacked.
The Portuguese coach is confirmed to be in Italy, but in fact would be closer to joining Salernitana or Verona should they decide to replace Davide Nicola or Gabriele Cioffi respectively.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri are likely to at least stick with Inzaghi for the next few matches against Barcelona, Sassuolo, and Salernitana before they would decide his fate.
