Italian journalist Giancarlo Padovan feels that in their present state it is hard to see Inter or Juventus finishing in the top four in Serie A.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Padovan argued that the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri are both going to have a very tough time finishing in the Champions League places in Serie A this season.

There is still a great deal of the season to go, but already the dynamics of the race at the top end of the table are starting to shape up.

The Nerazzurri are only a few points back from the Champions League places despite their very difficult start to the season, and the same can be said for Juventus.

However, it looks to be a congested race not just for the title but also for top four, and in Padovan’s view Roma could be the team to gatecrash the top four.

“Roma are an excellent team,” he said. “If you ask me where they’ll end up, I don’t see them leading the way for the Scudetto.”

“I would say that I see them in the top four,” he continued. “I don’t know exactly the order, but I don’t see Juventus there for example.”

“I struggle to see Inter as well,” he added.
