Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that while Inter coach Simone Inzaghi still has a way to develop in terms of his mindset, the signs are positive.

Writing in his column in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Libero, Biasin argued that the team’s recent performances show improvements in the 46-year-old’s courage with his decisions.

Inzaghi had not always set the team up in the best way in their opening few matches of the season, and the sense was that this indecisiveness was part of why the team struggled for balance and consistency at times.

In their last couple of matches, wins against Barcelona and Sassuolo, the Nerazzurri have shown a clear identity and an idea of how they want to play.

Biasin doesn’t think that this is proof that Inzaghi has fully arrived, but he is hopeful of seeing even more growth from Inzaghi and the team going foward.

“In Reggio, against Sassuolo, they didn’t play the kind of match that made you rub your eyes in disbelief,” he writes, “but they did what’s asked of a team with ambition.”

“They absorbed the pressure, and they didn’t break down, they came back, and they managed the match until the 90th minute.”

Biasin continues that “Inzaghi probably still has to grow in terms of ‘courage,’ but his group looks like it’s where it needs to be, they’re giving positive signs and we’ll see what they can do in the inferno of the Camp Nou.”
