Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga feels that the body language of Inter players in recent matches has been significant.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Zenga highlighted the fact that the players aren’t showing their frustration on the pitch anymore, and also the more compact defensive shape.

Inter have now won two matches in a row, against Barcelona in the Champions League and then Sassuolo in Serie A.

Both have been tough matches, and in both instances the Nerazzurri showed that they are more than ready to dig in their heels and suffer for the result.

Inter have dispelled a lot of doubts about their defensive fortitude with their last couple displays after leaking goals to start the season.

For Zenga, the improvements have come both in terms of the tactical approach as well as the attitude of the players.

“I noticed two aspects with this Inter,” he said.

“Nobody has raised their arms in frustration to their teammates anymore,” he noted.

“Dzeko said that the Nerazzurri have changed their positional and behavioural attitude,” he then continued.

“They conceded an equalizer while defending deep, but then showed a reaction and deservedly won.”

And of the choice to start Andre Onana in goal over captain Samir Handanovic, Zenga said that “I don’t think Inzaghi can go back now.”

“Onana has been out for two years,” he noted.

“He’s played in the Champions League and has experience,” Zenga said of the Cameroonian.

“With the positivity of the fans it was the right time to change,: he concluded. “With all due respect and recognition for Handanovic.”
