Former Lazio and Torino goalkeeper Luca Marchegiani feels that Inter have more or less gotten over their early season crisis in form.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Marchegiani predicted that now the Nerazzurri are past the worst of their early struggles, and that now they are ready to be back to their best.

Two wins against Barcelona and Sassuolo is hardly enough for Inter to be able to say they have fully put their early difficulties behind them given the scope of their difficulties in the early weeks of the campaign.

However, it is certainly a positive sign, and if the team can keep the momentum up at anywhere near that level, then the early struggles will be a distant memory.

For Marchegiani’s part, he feels that the Nerazzurri are already back on track and can get right back to their best over the coming matches.

“Inter give me the feeling that the worse of their bad period has passed,” he said, “there had been a moment where they were really creaking.”

“Last season they were at one point seven points off Napoli and Milan, this time around eight off of Napoli.”

“So I think they’re doing better overall,” he continued.

“And last season we know what they looked like in February,” he added.

“So Inter are in back in business, they’re absolutely in the running for the title,” Marchegiani argued.

“Although there are undoubtedly some problems to be solved, they’re still conceding goals too easily.”
