Former Inter and Paris Saint-Germain Benoit Cauet is skeptical that the Nerazzurri have completely put their early-season crisis in form behind them just yet.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Rai Radio, Cauet argued that while there are certainly positive signs for the Nerazzurri, it is too early to say definitively that they have put their bad start to the season behind them.

Two wins in tough matches against Barcelona and Sassuolo will feel like a highly significant moment given where it came in Inter’s season.

Four losses from eight in Serie A, and five from ten in all competitions, was hardly the start that the team expected, and the team was desperate for both performances and results.

The two wins go a long way towards suggesting that the team have found a bit of solidity again.

However, as Cauet points out, given the scope of the early season crisis, they may not be enough on their own.

“In my opinion it’s too early to say that Inter are out of their crisis,” he argued.

“There are positive signs, sure, and the team showed a big reaction, but we still need further confirmation of it,” he added.
